Does VoiceX work inside Gmail's web compose?+
Yes — VoiceX is a system-wide overlay on macOS, so it works in any text field, including Gmail in Chrome, Safari, Arc, or any other browser. No extension required.
Will the recipient know I dictated the email?+
No. The output is clean, polished text indistinguishable from typing. VoiceX removes filler words, fixes grammar, and shapes the structure before it appears in the compose window.
Does it learn my writing style?+
Over time, yes. VoiceX picks up on your sign-offs, your preferred dash style, and how formal you tend to be with different recipients. You can also nudge it explicitly in settings.
What about confidential email?+
Audio is transcribed and immediately discarded. Email content is never stored on our servers and never used to train models. All traffic is encrypted with TLS 1.3.
Can I dictate in multiple languages?+
Yes — VoiceX supports 100+ languages and detects switches mid-sentence. Helpful for bilingual teams who write to colleagues in one language and customers in another.
Does it work offline?+
Transcription requires a connection, but VoiceX falls back to a local model for short replies when offline. Polishing always uses the latest cloud model.
